Feeling Frustrated!!

Ok. So, I have struggled lately with eating. I mean eating things that you are not supposed to eat when you have sensitivities. I was diagnosed with gluten and dairy sensitivities just over a year ago and I am still struggling with cutting those things out of my diet. I struggled with losing weight and as a type 1 diabetic I was having problems controlling my diabetes. Along with the sensitivities, the Dr also diagnosed me with Hashimotos and I also have thyroid problems. WTF, I know!
I have two kids who gag every time I give them something I have made that is gluten free and dairy free and a husband who just can't get into the habit. So I find myself fixing two meals, one for them and one for me. Sometimes I just won't eat and sometimes I feel sick anyway and figure that if I already feel sick than I might as well eat something delicious (usually means full of gluten and dairy). I have made delicious things that are gluten free and dairy free but I find that it takes a lot of time to make and it is just so gosh darn expensive! I have been given a lot of fabulous cookbooks and pinterest is WONDERFUL! So, why has it been so hard to get into the habit of making myself feel good?! It's like exercising. I hate doing it but when I do I feel fantastic!
When I first starting cutting those things out of my diet I felt great! I thought I could do it! Ha! I was wrong. About 6 months into it I started feeling the same way before I started cutting those things out. Ever since then it has been a struggle. Sometimes it doesn't make any difference if I cut those things out or not. Does the Hashimotos play that much of a part in all of this? Thyroid? I just don't know! My control with my diabetes is much better, but does have its ups and downs. My Dr told me to just hang on and it will get better, but I'm not so sure!

I am so grateful for my family even though they get frustrated with me during these struggles. I love how my oldest always asks me if what I am eating is gluten free and is so concerned with it! These guys help me in so many ways and I am so blessed to have them! They are my everything!
If anyone has any tricks of the trade or tips to help it would be much appreciated! Thank You!

FRIGHTMARES!!

Once again we were able to go to Lagoon to participate in their Halloween festivities! The girls look forward to it every year and now that they are getting older it is a lot more fun! Rides, Spook Alley's, and, of course, Spooks! Plus, it doesn't get any better than being there with your cousins!!

I am so grateful for family traditions and I am glad that Lagoon's Frightmares is one of them! I think I enjoy it more than the kids! Ha!
So, Rebecca decided that she is going to dress up as Elsa (no surprise there!) and Hayley is going to be a black cat. Hope everyone has an Awesome Halloween!! Enjoy!
